Students and parents of all ages are encouraged to attend this evening presentation to discuss the college planning and financial aid processes at Milan High School. INvestEd will be on hand to discuss picking the right major and college, searching for scholarships, the FAFSA, and more.

INvestEd Team Members will join Wendy McNarney’s College Prep class at Lawrence North High School to talk with them about college planning and paying for college. The topics of the discussion include picking the right major and college, scholarship search tips, and the various types of aid available.

INvestEd will provide a brief overview of the types and sources of financial aid, how to choose the right career & college and how to compare college costs for any family. We will then assist seniors and families with filling out and submitting the 2017-2018 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or review their Student Aid Report (SAR).

Seniors and their parents should bring all the necessary paperwork, including your 2015 tax and income information (for both students and parents), and file the 2017-2018 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). INvestEd will be on hand to answer questions and guide families through the process.

March 14, 2017

INvested team members will meet with seniors to review their Student Aid Report (SAR) from 12-3pm. Then at 6:30pm INvestEd will present to seniors and families what to do after the FAFSA has been filed. Some of the topics will include comparing financial aid offers from various colleges, available loan options, and how to view any FAFSA issues that need addressed to maximize federal and state money.

Families should bring any tax and income information for both the student and the parents. If you have already submitted your FAFSA, INvestEd will be happy to review the Student Aid Report (SAR) and answer any questions regarding the next steps in the financial aid process!

INvestEd will be at River Birch Elementary School for their Love to Read night with FREE resources and tools to help families! We know how planning for college is best when it starts early and ends with students with degrees and minimal to no debt!

INvestEd will discuss critical steps seniors need to take as they finalize their college choice. We’ll talk about next steps in the aid process, comparing financial aid award letters, various loan options and answer any questions families may have.
